5 Chapel Hill players sign letters of intent

Chapel Hill capped a 9-5 season and trip to the Class 3A Division I quarterfinals with one of the biggest signing days in program history.

Five Bulldogs took part in National Signing Day before a packed audience at the high school library Wednesday morning.

Four players signed with NCAA Division I FBS schools: defensive back Joseph Clark with Texas Tech; defensive end Keith Minor with Cincinnati; defensive lineman Shaq Warren with Louisiana-Monroe; and athlete Wesley Thompson with Louisiana-Monroe.

Quarterback Andrew Black signed with NCAA Division II’s Henderson State.
