Christ-centered Abortion Recovery of East Texas (C.A.R.E.) will hold its inaugural fundraiser on March 21.
“Our primary mission is to offer hope and healing to women and men who have been wounded by abortion through weekly or weekend Bible studies,” according to the written release.
According to the organization’s website, more than one out of three women will have an abortion by age 45, and 79 percent of women who have abortions claim they are Christians and/or attend church.
The ministry began in 2008 and became a 501c3 in 2011.
The fundraiser will be at 7 p.m. at the Mother Frances Hospital Wisenbaker Conference Center.
There is no entrance fee but guests are asked to RSVP through www.careabortionrecovery.com .
This is an area-wide East Texas event open to any current and future supporters of the ministry.
