The Shady Grove Baptist Church in Tyler will host its annual Women’s Day weekend today and Sunday.

The F.R.O.G. (Fully Rely on God) Brunch will be held at 10 a.m. A $5 donation is requested.

The annual Women’s Day program will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church at 12480 FM Road 14.

The honored guests are Rev. Gary Walker and the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. All women are asked to wear white on Sunday.



Buckner Children and Family Services will present a free foster care and adoption information meeting at 6 p.m. March 11 at Buckner’s offices, located at 110 E. Cotton.

A Buckner representative will give an overview of foster care and adoption options in Texas, including foster-to-adopt, Waiting Texas Children, domestic infant adoption and international adoption programs. The Heritage Baptist Church 39th anniversary celebration will be held at today.

Sunday school begins at 10 a.m., church begins at 11, and lunch will be at noon. Gospel singing will be provided by the Rose City Quartet. The public is invited. The pastor is Wesley Veasey. The church is located at 7720 S. Broadway Ave., across from Kohl’s.



The Trinity Holy Temple Church will honor the Rev. Paul Ford and his wife Eva for five years of service at 3:30 p.m. March 9 at 21777 Highway 135 N in Troup.

Holly Brook Baptist Church has announced new office hours. The office will continue to open at 8 a.m. but will close on Friday at noon, effective immediately.
