Christian radio stations KVNE and KGLY is urging the public to create homemade Valentines for those who are hospitalized or in a nursing home, to be delivered by the radio staff on Valentine’s Day.

“These children and seniors are facing significant battles each day and it’s such a blessing to see their faces light up when they receive a small token of love from people that they don’t even know,” said Troy Kriechbaum, President and CEO of 89.5 KVNE and 91.3 KGLY, in the written release. “It may be just a Valentine to most, but to these kids and seniors, it’s a symbol of hope and encouragement. They are not alone, and these Valentines are an outward expression of God’s love coming directly from our loyal listeners.”

“Get well soon friend,” “You are special” and “We love you” are messages suggested by the written release.

Collection sites are located all across East Texas, where residents can drop off handmade cards. Some of the collection sites are Chick-Fil-A in Tyler and Longview; The Scroll Christian Bookstore in Tyler; Mardel’s Christian and Education Bookstore in Longview; Healthy Figures in Tyler and Longview; Dance-n-Drill in Tyler; McCann Insurance in Palestine; and MailboX-Press in Tyler.
