Children ages 5 through sixth grade are invited to Vacation Bible School at Holly Brook Baptist Church. It will be from 9 to noon June 24 to 28 at 3219 S. Farm-to-Market Road 2869, Hawkins.
The theme for the week is “Facing Fear, Trusting God!” The scripture focus is 2 Timothy 1:7.

In keeping with its tradition, Holly Brook Baptist Church will celebrate Independence Day on the Sunday before the Fourth of July on June 30.
Beginning at noon, hot dogs and hamburgers will be available followed by activities for the family and a men’s cake baking and decorating contest.
Men are encouraged to design, bake and decorate their most patriotic cake creation. Winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges and appropriate prizes will be awarded. Donations will be accepted at the door.
There will be no evening service or activities.
New Covenant Church’s Family Fun Day will be at 10 a.m. June 30 at 714 Shelley Drive in Tyler. Joe Schmidt will be the special guest.
County Line Missionary Baptist Church’s annual revival will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Ray Charles Wrenn, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Flint will be the guest speaker. The revival will continue nightly at 7:30 p.m. until Wednesday.
