NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water clear; 71-75 degrees; 0.10’ high. Black bass are good on topwaters and small soft plastic swimbaits. Some fish being caught on weightless Flukes over grass. Crappie are good on tube jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on rod and reel.

BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 73-76 degrees; 0.75’ low. Black bass are good on black buzzbaits and topwaters near flooded vegetation. Texas rigged creature baits in green pumpkin near shallow cover effective as well. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and nightcrawlers.

BONHAM: Water stained, 70-74 degrees; 2.32’ low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits on boat docks and rocky points. Crappie are good on jigs. Catfish are good on jug lines with cut bait. All species being caught from the fishing pier as well.

*BRIDGEPORT: Water clear, 70-75 degrees; 22.17’ low. Black bass are good on white splatterback Bandit 200 crankbaits and 1/4oz Yellow Magic poppers in yellow frog. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Channel catfish are good on trotlines and rod and reel.

*CADDO: Water stained; 72-75 degrees; 1.69’ high. Black bass are fair on Texas rig creature baits in green pumpkin and bladed jigs. White and yellow bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are good on cut shad and trotlines.

CEDAR CREEK: Water clear; 71-74 degrees; 3.07’ low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws on docks in 3-5’ of water. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on minnows. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

COOPER: Water clear; 72-76 degrees; 6.92’ low. Black bass are good on shallow crankbaits and wakebaits. Crappie are good on jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FORK: Water clear; 70-74 degrees; 3.03’ low. Black bass are good on Strike King 10XDs and soft plastic swimbaits on deep drops. Hollow body frogs effective as well around vegetation near deeper water. White and yellow bass good on slabs and small crankbaits and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water clear; 70-74 degrees; 10.38’ low. Black bass are good on shallow crankbaits and topwater poppers in shad patterns. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.

JOE POOL: Water clear; 72-76 degrees; 0.33’ low. Black bass are fair on shallow crankbaits and topwaters early. Midday deeper brush piles working best. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

*LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 72-75; degrees; 2.49’ high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits and weightless Senkos near grass. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

*LAVON: Water lightly stained; 73-76 degrees; 11.48’ low. Black bass are slow on bladed jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on tube jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

*LEWISVILLE: Water clear; 71-74 degrees; 7.77’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon candy shakyheads and flick shake worms near larger rock. Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.

MARTIN CREEK: Water clear; 75-78 degrees; 0.04 high. Black bass are good on topwater poppers and hollow belly popping frogs. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs. White bass are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and rod and reel.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 73-77 degrees; 0.48’ high. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged green pumpkin creature baits and bladed jigs near shallow cover. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

PALESTINE: Water clear; 71-74 degrees; 0.26’ high. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin shakyheads and weightless Senkos near docks (topwater bite improving). Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. White bass are fair on jigs and topwaters. Catfish are good on trotlines.

RAY HUBBARD: Water clear; 72-75 degrees; 6.97’ low. Black bass are fair on medium diving crankbaits near rip rap. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

*RAY ROBERTS: Water clear; 71-74 degrees; 8.42’ low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged green pumpkin soft plastics near shallow timber. Crappie are good on white jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on minnows and topwaters. Catfish are good on cut shad.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 71-75 degrees; 7.07’ low. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits and topwaters near flooded vegetation. White bass are good on jigs. Hybrid striper are good on minnows and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on cut shad and trotlines.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 71-74 degrees; 7.99’ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin creature baits and hollow body frogs near shallow cover. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are fair on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are good on trotlines. Please call ahead to verify access at ramp of your choice. Lake access is severely limited due to low water.

*TEXOMA: Water clear; 70-74 degrees; 8.49’ low. Black bass are good on topwater walking baits and Texas rigged plastics. Crappie are fair on minnows and tube jigs. Striped bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are good on trotlines.

WEATHERFORD: Water clear; 70-74 degrees; 6.77’ low. No report available. Please call ahead as low water is making launching difficult.

*WRIGHT PATMAN: Water lightly stained; 72-75 degrees; 8.31’ high. Black bass are good on topwaters and hollow body frogs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

SOUTHEAST

SAM RAYBURN: Water murky; 73-77 degrees; 1.33’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon red Senkos, lizards, and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on minnows and Charlie slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Bream are fair on nightcrawlers. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with liver and perch.

TOLEDO BEND: Water murky; 72-76 degrees; 0.46’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on spoons in the river. Crappie are fair on chartreuse jigs under the bridge. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
