NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water clear; 43-46 degrees; 0.67’ low. Black bass are fair on bladed jigs and lipless crankbaits in shad patterns. Crappie are slow on white jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on rod and reel.

BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 45-48 degrees; 4.56’ low. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps and bladed jigs near cover. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are slow on slabs and minnows. Catfish are slow on cut shad.

BONHAM: Water stained, 42-46 degrees; 1.74’ low. Black bass are slow on jerkbaits, crankbaits and shakyheads fished slowly around rocks. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on chicken liver in 8-18’.

*BRIDGEPORT: Water clear, 42-47 degrees; 20.60’ low. Black bass are slow on suspending jerkbaits and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows. White bass are slow on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Channel catfish are slow on trotlines. Zebra mussels have been found in this reservoir. Anglers will need to drain all water from their boats before leaving the lake.

*CADDO: Water stained; 44-47 degrees; 1.30’ high. Black bass are slow on Rat-L-Traps. White and yellow bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Catfish are slow on trotlines and cut shad.

CEDAR CREEK: Water clear; 42-45 degrees; 3.70’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps and bladed jigs. Some fish being caught from deeper brush piles. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on minnows. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnow. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

COOPER: Water clear; 59-65 degrees; 12.11’ low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slab and minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.

FORK: Water clear; 42-46 degrees; 4.80’ low. Black bass are good on suspending jerkbaits, umbrella rigs and football jigs. Yellow bass and white bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Crappie are good on minnows near bridges. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

GRAPEVINE: Water clear; 42-47 degrees; 9.13’ low. Black bass are very slow on deep crankbaits and suspending jerkbaits. Crappie are slow near brush piles. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on cut shad.

JOE POOL: Water clear; 44-47 degrees; 1.03’ low. Black bass are slow on weightless Senkos, umbrella rigs and wacky worms. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

*LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 44-48; degrees; 0.95’ high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and bladed jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

*LAVON: Water lightly stained; 44-47 degrees; 12.35’ low. Black bass are slow on black/blue flipping jigs. White bass are slow on minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and trotlines.

*LEWISVILLE: Water clear; 41-46 degrees; 7.23’ low. Black bass are slow on suspending jerkbaits, umbrella rigs and finesse jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on cut shad. Zebra mussels have been found in this reservoir. Anglers will need to drain all water from their boats before leaving the lake.

MARTIN CREEK: Water clear; 67-72 degrees; 0.01’ high. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are good on jigs. White bass are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and perch.

MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 54-58 degrees; 0.35’ high. Black bass are fair on flipping jigs and creature baits around stumps. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and nightcrawlers.

PALESTINE: Water clear; 41-45 degrees; 0.04’ high. Black bass are fair on shakyheads and Flick Shake worms. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. White bass are good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait and chicken livers.

RAY HUBBARD: Water clear; 42-46 degrees; 6.76’ low. Black bass are fair on suspending jerkbaits and deep diving crankbaits. Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are slow on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

*RAY ROBERTS: Water clear; 43-46 degrees; 7.31’ low. Black bass are fair on suspending jerkbaits and weightless Senkos. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on cut shad. Zebra mussels have been found in this reservoir.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 42-46 degrees; 7.31’ low. Black bass are slow on football jigs and Carolina rigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are slow on trotlines and prepared bait.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 44-47 degrees; 8.86’ low. Black bass are slow on bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are slow on cut shad.

*TEXOMA: Water clear; 43-47 degrees; 8.03’ low. Black bass are slow on shakyheads and drop shot rigs. Striped bass are fair on slabs and. Catfish are fair on cut shad. Zebra mussels have been found in this reservoir.

WEATHERFORD: Water clear; 42-46 degrees; 7.97’ low. No report available. Please call ahead as low water is making launching difficult.
