Man wanted for murder, known gang member added to Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list

The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for help locating a fugitive wanted for murder and known to be affiliated with the Bloods gang. 

DPS has added Frankie Lee Bell Jr., 29, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. A reward of up to $7,500 is being offered for information leading to his capture.

Bell has ties to Burleson County and the cities of Bryan and Houston.

Bell and others were allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery in Bryan on Oct. 3 during which two men were shot and killed and a third was injured. 

He previously served a 12-year sentence for shooting two men in 2005.

Bell is 5-7 and weighs 175 pounds. He has a tattoo of a dog paw and a five-point star on his right forearm, a “B” hand sign on his outer right forearm and a 59 on his left bicep. Other tattoos cover his neck and arms. He has a scar near his right eye.

To be eligible for a reward, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the five methods:

-- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

-- Text the letters DPS followed by the tip to 274637 (CRIMES) from a cell phone.

-- Submit a tip through the DPS website by clinking on a link under a fugitive’s photo.

-- Submit a tip at facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link.

-- Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App available for iPhone users on the Apple App Store and Android users on Google Play.

Tips are anonymous. Tipsters are provided a number instead of using a name.

DPS urges people not to attempt to apprehend fugitives.
