Tyler police have confirmed the identity of the body found Friday in a drainage area near Shiloh Road and Shiloh Village Drive.

Police said it was Brandon Harward, 32, who was reported missing on Oct. 23. Preliminary autopsy results indicated no signs of foul play, according to a Tyler Police Department news release.

A vigil for Harward is planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Arbor Creek Apartments, 2400 Shiloh Road, and everyone is welcome to attend. Those who come are asked to bring a candle to hold.

“ We would really love to have the opportunity to thank everyone who joined in the search effort for Brandon,” his brother Blake Harward said on a Facebook post. “… If you prayed for Brandon, joined in the search effort, or just followed the story; we would like to thank you.”

Brandon’s family is raising money for a memorial and to transport his body back to Utah, where he grew up. Donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/brandonharwardmemorial.
