Tyler Junior College to stage ‘Circle Mirror Transformation' Nov. 15-18

Theatre TJC is rehearsing “Circle Mirror Transformation,” a comedy which traces the lives of a few small-town Vermont residents who gather each week for an acting class at a community center.

Under the direction of TJC theater professor Amy Dawson, the play opens 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the college’s Jean Browne Theatre.

Performances will continue 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16-18 and 2 p.m. Nov. 18.

The relationships between the group members evolve in different ways as they come together each week and take part in sometimes awkward acting drills. Ultimately, they discover that the class has shaped their lives in substantial ways.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students. The TJC Box Office is open noon to 6 p.m. weekdays. For reservations, call 903-510-2212.

The cast includes: Nicki Dempsey, of Tyler, Sean-Riley Cunningham,of Tyler, Ashton Eichelman,of Harmony; Levi Hawkins,of Hughes Springs, and Abigail Hopkins,of Van.

Assistant director is Walker Delk,of Tyler and stage manager is Grace Lutrell,of Diana.
