The Texas based, family-owned Brazilian-American steakhouse, Texas de Brazil, opened it's doors to Tyler on Friday.
Over 200 reservations were made for the restaurant's opening night.
"We're hoping for a really good turnout," said Carlos Restrepo, corporate training manager. "The reaction of the community has been very positive. We're seeing a big response from people from Tyler and East Texas who dine at the restaurant in Dallas."
The churrasco-style grilling restaurant features a salad area, an open grill kitchen, a wine cellar, an intimate lounge and an outdoor seating area.
The 6,760-square-foot restaurant accommodates over 200 guests in a lively, colorful environment. Texas de Brazil treats it's guests to an upscale dining experience and an engaging and unique service style.
Guests begin their meal with a visit to the salad area with over 50 items. Restaurant-goers have their choice of Brazilian specialties, fresh salads, imported cheeses, charcuterie, roasted vegetables, smoked salmon, Moqueca Brazilian fish stew, creamy lobster bisque and other items.
Texas de Brazil restaurants grill the meat over charcoal. Patrons are treated to the freshly grilled meats carved at their tables from skewers by costumed “gauchos” who deliver picanha sirloin, lamb chops, leg of lamb, filet mignon, chicken breasts wrapped in bacon and Brazilian sausages.
Guests are able to flip a disk from red to green to indicate when they would like additional servings. Guests can choose to experience a quick dinner or a leisurely meal with friends, family or business associates.
Desserts are served à la carte. The wine collection features private label wines bottled exclusively for Texas de Brazil by Santa Rita Vineyards in Chile and an award-winning variety of labels from the world’s top wineries.
In the restaurant’s lounge, guests can order signature cocktails including a Brazilian favorite, the Caipirinha, plus an array of premium spirits and specialty libations.
