Florida man arrested in connection with a credit card skimmer device case in Tyler

A Florida man was arrested on a warrant related to a credit card skimmer case in Tyler.

Tyler police said Raul Daniel Rodriguez-Martinez, 25, of Miami, Florida, is a suspect who is believed to have been part of a scheme involving placing credit card skimmers on gas pumps in East Texas.

He was charged with unlawful interception, use or disclosure of wire, oral or electronic communication, according to Smith County judicial records. 

Rodriguez-Martinez also was being held on a federal detainer from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and a warrant for grand theft out of Broward County Florida.

Rodriguez-Martinez was booked into the Smith County jail shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, and was held on a $500,000 bond, according to jail records.
