Prayer vigil planned for East Texas pastor and pilot killed in plane crash

A prayer vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Friday for the two men killed when the small plane they were in crashed Thursday during takeoff from Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. 

Trevor Morris, 39, pastor of Union Hill Baptist Church in Brownsboro, and pilot William Robert Walls, 62, of Huntsville, were killed when the plane went down Thursday morning about about one mile south of the airport. 

The prayer vigil will be at Rock Hill Baptist Church, at 20022 Texas Highway 31 in Brownsboro.
