Ruben Candelario, 36, was arrested by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office Monday on two charges of indecency with a child sexual contact.

The incidents likely began on or about August 2015, with the original report to law enforcement made on March 23, according to a Smith County Sheriff’s Office arrest warrant affidavit.

According to the affidavit, the victims were relatives of Candelario, all younger than the age of 18 at the time of the incidents.

Smith County detectives reported that a minor relative accused Candelario of grabbing his hand and placing it on Candelario’s genitalia, forcing the victim to perform sexual acts on him.

Another minor also relative accused Candelario of grabbing his hand and placing it on Candelario’s genitalia.

In a separate report made in January, Candelario was accused of watching another relative younger than the age of 18 while the victim was getting dressed and after getting out of the shower, according to the affidavit.

Candelario is being held on a $200,000 bond, according to Smith County judicial records.
