Easter egg hunts offered around East Texas

The Easter egg hunts will continue Saturday with many events planned at local churches. Below is a list of some of the available opportunities.  

 

Christ Church South, 15747 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, Nursery-age children through fourth-graders are invited to hunt while parents enjoy coffee and fellowship. 10 a.m.

 

Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 7330 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, Eggstreme Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast, 10:30 a.m. sharp. Four age-group hunts. Bring your own baskets. Pancake breakfast will follow in the gym.

 

First Baptist Church – Fruitvale, 181 Van Zandt County Road 1910, Fruitvale, Community Egg Hunt and Cookout, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family fun, games and food. Registration and activities start at 10:30 a.m.

 

First Baptist Church – Gresham, 16844 County Road 165, Gresham, Communitywide Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to noon.

 

First Baptist Church – Winona Communitywide Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Winona WildCat Stadium, 611 Wildcat Drive. Open to children from infants through sixth-graders. More than 5,000 eggs put out with many prizes including cash. Games and designated areas for smaller children.

 

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt at Freedom Fellowship Church, 2915 SSE Loop 323, Tyler. Free food and games at 7 p.m. Flashlight Easter egg hunt after sunset. Participants should bring their own flashlight and basket.

 

Glenwood Church of Christ, 5210 Hollytree Drive, Tyler, Easter Eggstravaganza, 10:30 a.m. Easter egg hunt. Infants through third-graders welcome. Easter bunny will make an appearance.

 

Grace Baptist Church, 119 Peavine Road, Kilgore, Helicopter Egg Drop, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Candy and prizes, games and inflatables, concessions and Easter bunny. Open to children up to fifth grade.

 

Grace Fellowship Ministries of Winnsboro Annual Easter Egg Hunt, 711 E. Coke Road, Winnsboro, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open to children fifth grade and under. Carnival games until 11:30 a.m., when egg hunt begins. Hot dogs will be served after the hunt. Children should bring their own baskets.

 

Pine Springs Community Center, 3010 County Road 238 East, Tyler, Pancake breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. 

 

Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Road, Tyler, Easter Eggstravaganza, 10 a.m. to noon. Games, candy, door prizes, egg hunts and more.

 

Southern Oaks Baptist Church, Easter Eggstravaganza, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pollard Park, 710 E. Amherst St., Tyler. Free hot dogs and lots of fun.

 

Westwood Baptist Church Eggstravaganza, 820 NNW Loop 323, Tyler, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Egg hunt, kites, snow cones, face paint and more. Children should bring their own Easter baskets.

 

Woodland Hills Baptist Church Easter Eggstravaganza, 2105 E. Loop 281, Longview, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free food, inflatables, train, petting zoo, pictures with Easter bunny and more than 10,000 eggs.
