Tyler resident, Elias Schulze will be honored at the Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA) Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C., with an Alumni Service Recognition Award. Selected by GUAA’s Board of Governors, these awards recognize Georgetown University alumni for their professional achievements and outstanding service to the Georgetown community.
“This year’s estimable Alumni Service Award honorees embody our mission and advance our value of commitment to service,” said Bill Reynolds, executive director, Georgetown University Alumni Association. “Our Board of Governors was inspired by their significant professional accomplishments and dedication to developing the next generation of students and alumni around the globe.”
Schulze will receive the 1820 Graduate Award for outstanding leadership and service by graduate alumni to their fellow alumni.
Schulze serves as co-founder and managing director of Kana Television. He has spent the last eight years focused on Africa across various strategy, finance, and operational roles in more than 15 African countries. He also serves as managing partner and co-founder of The Africa Group LLC, an advisory and venture capital firm, which has stakes in several early stage ventures across Nigeria, Ethiopia and Kenya.
