Actress and author Kimberly Williams-Paisley to speak at Alzheimer’s Alliance luncheon

Actress and author Kimberly Williams-Paisley will speak at the fifth annual Butterfly Hope Luncheon on Sept. 19 in Tyler.

Mrs. Williams-Paisley is best known for her role as Annie, the young bride in the “Father of the Bride” films starring Steve Martin. She also is married to country music artist Brad Paisley.

Mrs. Williams-Paisley wrote the New York Times bestseller “Where the Light Gets In: Losing My Mother Only to Find Her A gain.”

The book shares her family’s experience after her mother was diagnosed at 62 with primary progressive aphasia, a type of dementia affecting speech and language.

The luncheon at Willow Brook Country Club will include a reception, keynote address, question-and-answer session and book signing.

All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County to support local programs and services, according to an organization news release.
