Power has been restored to about 1,500 residents who were affected near Tyler Pounds Regional Airport on Tuesday night, according to Oncor spokesman Charles Hill.

Hill said the outage was caused when a truck hit low-lying telephone wires, which broke two telephone poles off Texas Highway 64.

The airport operated on a generator during the outage, but flights were not interrupted.
