Tyler Junior College continued its recognition of Financial Literacy Week with a "money grab" on campus today.
Students got inside a “phone booth” in which colored paper serving as money was blown through the air. Participants “earned” time in the booth based upon the number of financial literacy questions they answered correctly. Once inside the booth, participants grabbed as many paper bills as possible before time expired. They were given real cash equal to the colored paper money they collected.
The event, which took place on the second floor of Rogers Student Center, was part of the Good Cents financial literacy campaign, sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust.
