A new website devoted to the entertainment scene in East Texas is on line. It’s called ET Wired! and is found atwww.etwired.com .
The site’s calendars have hundreds of postings by date of where bands, singers and headliners are performing; classical and instrumental concerts; family friendly events; and theater offerings.
“There’s nothing else like it,” said Danny Mogle, content editor. “We designed this to be the only place you’ll ever have to go to know what is going on in the entire region.”
Some sites only post information about bands, cities list community events and venues provide information specific to their location. ET Wired! takes information from all of these sources, organizes and enhances it.
Content is organized as Live Entertainment, Concerts, Go & Do and Theater.
— Live Entertainment lists where bands, singers, comedians are performing and includes when superstars, such as Miley Cyrus and George Strait are in Dallas or Shreveport.
— Concerts highlight classical music and dance.
— Go & Do is devoted to special events.
— Theater lists performances by college and community theater groups and the big Broadway productions that come through the region.
Postings are listed by date with the most current events first. Calendars extend for about 30 days.
“We constantly update the calendars,” Mogle said. “Every day there is new information.”
ET Wired! also offers a guide to museums and a dining guide pulled from the pages of IN Magazine.
A section called The Hot Wire! contains new developments and announcements.
“When we learn about a big name coming through the area we’ll post it,” Mogle said. “When we learn about a new event — such as the Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival” coming to Tyler in May — we’ll share it with you.”
A basic listing is free. Potential advertisers have an opportunity to purchase an upgraded package that guarantees a premium position and customized content that could include a story or expanded listing, multiple photos, a video and information that can be updated as often as wished.
“This is just the beginning,” Mogle said. “ET Wired! has a lot of potential. If you have an event to list, have a comment or want information about the upgraded package, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
