The Wiley College A Cappella Choir recently performed a holiday concert at the White House.
The Dec. 14 concert featured traditional selections including “Little Lamb” by Washington, D.C. composer Adolphus Hailstork, and “Mary Had a Baby,” arranged by William L. Dawson.
The students performed for two hours for guests touring the home, according to a college news release.
“Singing at the White House was a very special experience for our students,” Wiley College choral music director Stephen L. Hayes said, according to a news release. “Our students will always cherish this memory and the great opportunity to connect with the American Spirit.”
This was the choir’s second time to perform at the White House.
They also performed there in 2011. Wiley College is in Marshall.
