Angel Layettes is well prepared for power outages with a gas generator donated by Brookshire Grocery Co. and refurbished and installed by East Texas Power Solutions now valued at $7,500.

Angel Layettes, a nonprofit, manufactures burial layettes to families grieving over the loss of an infant. The process requires equipment and materials to not be subjected to extreme temperatures. The gas generator will automatically come on should Angel House lose electrical power.

Sharon Sikes, board president, expressed her gratitude to both companies.

“We are fortunate that both Brookshire Grocery Co. and Louie Johnson, of East Texas Power Solutions, recognized our need, Ms. Sikes said. “Several generators were combined and refurbished to make one that was installed and will be on-call for many years to come.”

Brookshire Grocery Co. is a Tyler-based regional food chain that has been providing families with quality food since 1928. Its mission statement is to provide great food and shopping experiences.

East Texas Power Solutions, of Whitehouse, is a factory authorized full-service dealer for residential and commercial RV generators, providing sales, service and rentals since 1984.

Angel Layettes brings comfort to families grieving over the loss of an infant from miscarriage, stillbirth or death shortly after birth; and honor and dignity to the memory of the precious baby by providing, without charge, custom designed burial layettes and keepsakes.
