The strongest cold front of the fall so far is crossing East Texas today. There is a slight chance of light rain ahead of the front followed by clearing skies and north winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. The high temperature will be in the mid-50s. The first freeze of the season will occur in the morning with lows near 29 degrees. The high Wednesday will be near 50, and another freeze will occur Thursday morning with lows near 30 degrees.
It will begin to warm up Friday, and there will be a chance of showers Thursday night through Friday night. A few thunderstorms are possible Saturday through Sunday with high temperatures near 70 degrees. Lows will return to the mid 40s by Friday morning and the mid to high 50s over the weekend
