A Rusk man has been indicted in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Lake Jacksonville.
Joey Longoria, 37, was indicted on a charge aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to a list of Cherokee County indictments, which were handed down Sept. 23 and released Tuesday.
Jacksonville police detective James Oden has said the incident reportedly happened July 4 around the concession area.
Oden said Longoria is accused of inappropriately touching a girl younger than 12 while holding her in the water.
Oden has said the girl got away from Longoria and told a relative.
