Parade, auction and BullFest to be featured at CountryFest

The Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce will host the biggest Country Fest ever on Oct. 12.

Since 1985, Lindale’s Country Fest has entertained thousands of visitors with arts, crafts, children’s games, food, live entertainment and more, according to a news release from the Lindale Chamber of Commerce. 

Events start at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast.

A parade kicks off downtown at 9 a.m. with the Lindale High School Marching Band, dignitaries, floats, tractors, Shrine motorcycles, midget cars, clowns, horses and fire engines.  Prizes will be awarded.

The parade will end on Eagle Spirit Drive and U.S. Highway 69, where visitors can stroll through arts and craft booths, grab a bite to eat and take a look at the Lonestar Dodge Car Display, the release states. There also will be events for children including a climbing wall, petting zoo, ID booth and carnival games.

Live entertainment will kick off at 10 a.m. with Iron Mountain Project, followed by Bongo and the Point at 11:15 a.m. 

Casey Rivers with special guest Kallee Rhodes will take the stage at 12:30 p.m.  Countyfest Entertainment will finish with the “Lindale Idol Competition.” Competitors must preregister with the Lindale Chamber office.

Kiwanis will host a silent auction from 9 to 11 a.m. Then, Kiwanis will begin a live auction, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shrine BullFest will cap off the events at the Lindale Rodeo Arena on Texas Highway 16 West at 6 p.m. Professional bull riding begins at 7 p.m.

Advance tickets can be purchased at: Cavender’s Boot City, in Tyler and Brookshire’s, Kidd-Jones and Fleming Farm & Ranch Supply, in Lindale. Tickets will also be sold at the gate.

Also, on Oct. 12 and 13, Pinktoberfest will be held to coincide with the grand opening of Pink Pistol Texas, which was formerly the Miranda Lambert Store. Events will include door prizes, pink pistol merchandise, carnival games, live music and the Lindale Library Pinktoberfest Wine Tasting.
