VIDEO: Police searching for suspect of Zip Cash robbery

The Tyler Police Department is asking for help to find a man who robbed a Tyler store on Tuesday.

About 4:15 p.m., officers were called to Zip Cash, 5111 Troup Highway, according to a news release.

A black man entered the store with a white T-shirt covering his face and demanded money from an employee.

The man is described as 5-foot-5 tall, with a thin build and wearing a green flannel shirt, dark pants and a dark toboggan-style hat, the release states.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money from an employee and ran south from the business.

No one was injured, and the case is under investigation.

Anyone with information about the man involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
