2 injured in Tyler motorcycle crash

Two people were injured in a motorcycle-involved crash in Tyler Thursday evening.

Tyler Police responded to a 911 call at the intersection of Donnybrook Avenue and East Southeast Loop 323 at 5:18 p.m., according to a news release from the department.

Tony Peters, of Flint, was headed west on the loop on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he turned into a Dodge Caravan, driven by Scott Plummer, who was traveling in the inside lane of the loop heading east, the release states. Peters failed to yield the right of way while turning onto Donnybrook Avenue, according to police.

Both Peters and Plummer were taken to East Texas Medical Center – Tyler for non-life threatening injuries and were treated and released.
