An arrest warrant has been issued for a man in connection with a Tyler homicide, and police are asking the public to help find him.
A capital murder arrest warrant was issued for Lawrence Charles Murphy Jr., 20, as a suspect in the homicide at the American Inn, 1800 West Erwin St., on Saturday. Judge Jack Skeen signed the warrant with a bond of $1 million.
Murphy is an African-American man, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds, according to a news release from the Tyler Police Department. He has access to a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice with the Texas license plate number CX3G877.
Since a firearm was used, Murphy is considered by police to be armed and dangerous

The investigation is ongoing to determine the identities of the other people in the room when the shooting occurred, the release states.
