Texas drivers will no longer have to display an inspection sticker come next March, but your car will still need to get the inspection.
On Monday, the director for the Department of Motor Vehicles said a single sticker will be proof of registration and inspection.
An owner must complete the inspection within 90 days of when the registration expires.
Drivers will eventually have to show proof of a valid inspection to renew their vehicle registration.
The move will save Texas about $2 million in oversight and sticker costs.
