LONGVIEW (KYTX) - According to Gregg County jail records, 32-year-old Grant Henly, of Dallas, has been arrested for robbery outside Louis Morgan Drug Store on South High Street Tuesday.

Hanley is in the Gregg County Jail this morning on bonds totaling $50,000.

Henly is also wanted for violating his probation, stemming from a conviction for possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone in his native Potter County.

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of High Street.

Longview Police spokesperson Kristie Brian says a woman was inside the Louis Morgan Drug Store, when a man in the parking lot tried to steal the small passenger car, and drove off.

Brian said the suspect ran into a wall and struck a Longview police patrol car.

The officer arrested the man on the spot.

Brian says the patrolman was treated and released from a local hospital Tuesday. More charges could be filed against Henly.
