East Texas Baptist University staff, faculty, and students are shown here meeting for a time of prayer in the lobby of newly constructed Centennial Hall prior to students moving in for the fall semester in 13 days.
The 362-bed, four-story living and learning center will be the home for freshman students for the first time as they start classes in Marshall on August 25.
The facility will primarily house freshman and sophomore students but will have upperclassmen suites as well. The amenities planned for the facility include private bedrooms in 4 bedroom/2 bathroom suites, study areas, seminar rooms, game rooms, and indoor and outdoor social areas. A faculty-in-residence apartment will also be located in the new facility.
The living-learning community will be located on the site bordered by Rainey Street to the north, Tiger Drive to the west, East Avenue to the south, and east of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.
