A Smith County man remained jailed Tuesday in Rusk County on indecency with a child charges after he allegedly kissed and touched a 15-year-old girl after giving her alcohol and prescription medication.

The incident, which the Smith County Sheriff’s Office was investigating, occurred Monday at Lake Tyler near the Old Omen boat ramp.

Brandon Michael Stahl, 25, was charged after the teen reported the incident, sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

Stahl was being held on a $75,000 bond.

The arrest affidavit in the case states Stahl had taken the girl to get something to drink and gave her a margarita beer and an Adderall, a drug used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

The teen told authorities Stahl asked her to go swimming and told her she could swim in her bra and shorts, the affidavit states.

It states that “Brandon was holding her and started to kiss her on the cheeks, arms and shoulders.”

Stahl’s sister and another relative searched for the two when they failed to return home and found them at the lake.

The affidavit states that a witness said the teen could barely stand and was confused.
