A multi-class reunion for Lindale High School is scheduled for next month.

The Lindale ISD Alumni Association is planning the event for graduates in any of the classes from 1938 to 1984, according to a Lindale ISD Education Foundation news release.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Lindale High School graduates to the multi-class reunion,” association president Mitzi Bjork said.

The reunion is scheduled for Sept. 13, the day after homecoming, at the new Lindale Junior High School campus.

Activities will include a visit the high school campus, a tour of the Performing Arts Center and class pictures.

Hickory Fare will cater the dinner and Wayland Hicks, a country music artist and Lindale alumnus, will perform.

The association will recognize the 2014 Distinguished Award recipients at the event.

Each year the Distinguished Alumni Award is given to a Lindale High School graduate whose achievements, strong character and citizenship serve as a positive model for current students.

The Distinguished Service Award goes to a former Lindale ISD faculty member or other individual whose outstanding service greatly contributed to the district’s success.

“One of the rewards for serving on the Alumni Awards Committee is to read about the accomplishments of LISD graduates that I was unaware of,” alumni association member and Lindale ISD board member Kenneth Cline said. “This years’ awardee is an excellent example.”
