A Tyler girl was among those named Friday to the 75th line of the Kilgore College Rangerettes.
Emily Hawk, a Robert E. Lee High School graduate and daughter of Ken and Denise Hawk, will join the squad this year as a freshman.
The announcement was made Friday morning in a closed-door ceremony at Dodson Auditorium on the Kilgore College campus.
The announcement formally kicked off the Rangerettes’ 75th Anniversary celebration.
The new Rangerettes will join 36 sophomores on a 72-member team.
The Rangerettes were the first of their kind when they began in 1940 as a vision of the late Gussie Nell Davis.
