People attending the Tyler fireworks show Saturday at Lindsey Park will be able to enter the park beginning 3 p.m. At that time, attendees will be able to enter the park through the north entrance (soccer fields) only. Parking will take place on the north side of the park at that time.

The south side of the park including the bike trails and frisbee courses will be closed early in the morning on the July 5th so that the fireworks can be set up.

Spur 364 will be shut down completely starting at 9 p.m. Saturday. Only residents who live on Spur 364 will be able to access the street, but must provide valid identification that they live on Spur 364.

Sunny 106.5 will be at the park broadcasting live before the fireworks and providing patriotic music to accompany the fireworks display.

The primary sponsor of the event is Texas Senator Kevin Eltife, along with Tyler Mayor Martin Heines, Greenberg Smoked Turkey, Inc., the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jeff Buie Used Car Sales, Sunny 106.5 and other anonymous donors.

All residents should remember that alcohol and private fireworks are prohibited in city parks.
