The Hamptons at Pine Forest Assisted Living and Memory Care will host an Independence Day celebration and patriotic concert today.

Community Liaison Cour-tney Klepfer said the public is invited to the event, scheduled for noon in the assisted living dining room on campus. The campus is at 4250 Old Omen Road.

During the event, Danny Burgess, activities director at The Hamptons at Pine Forest, will perform, as will Jon and Kim Hodges, Ms. Klepfer said. Patriotic-themed cake, along with hot dogs, chips and drinks, also will be available at no cost.

Ms. Klepfer said the purpose of the event is for families to come together for the nation’s veterans to to celebrate America’s independence. She said it’s also about the camaraderie of everyone coming together.

She expects about 200 attendees.

“Just come and celebrate and have a good time,” Ms. Klepfer said.
