The second annual “FAR OUT” Art Fest and June Bug Music Festival will be held this weekend in downtown Ben Wheeler.
A juried art show will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a news release.
The art fest was well-attended last year and drew buyers from all across East Texas during its inaugural event, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Tyler and Longview.
Other events for the day include an art car parade, demonstrations by local artists and live music. Food and drinks, including beer and wine, also will be available.
Festivalgoers can purchase $20 advance tickets at www.theforgebenwheeler.com . Lawn chairs are welcome.
The June Bug Music Festival will keep guests entertained throughout the day on Saturday.
Ray Wylie Hubbard is headlining the music for this second-annual festival, which is hosted by The Forge Bar & Grill, 1610 Farm-to-Market Road 279. The music fest puts the spotlight on true Texas Americana singer songwriters who have opted to do it themselves without the hand of Nashville.
The June Bug Music Festival will go on all day Saturday, with music starting at 11 a.m. There is a $25 charge for the music festival.
The music lineup includes:
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Craig Wallace & Guthrie Kennard
