Two Texas Department of Transportation projects will greatly affect Tyler traffic this week.
On Tuesday, crews will begin pavement repair work on South Loop 323 from Broadway Avenue to Paluxy Drive.
Crews will start the work on the eastbound side in front of Robert E. Lee High School, and traffic will be down to one-lane during daytime hours while the work is in progress. Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid lengthy delays.
Weather permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by Thursday.
Starting as early as Sunday evening, both sides of Broadway Avenue will be resurfaced from South Loop 323 to 4th Street, near Bergfeld Park.
Crews will work at night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday until the work is completed.
Crews will continue base and pavement repairs on Texas Highway 294 between Farm-to-Market Road 323 and Farm-to-Market Road 228 near the Cherokee County line.
Crews will continue base and pavement repairs on Texas Highway 19 between Interstate 20 and Texas Highway 64.

TxDOT construction crews are scheduled to begin seal coat operations today on Texas Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and Texas 110 in Ponta as well as on Loop 456 between U.S. Highway 69 South and Texas 204
Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible to avoid long delays associated with the work.
Construction crews also are scheduled to begin adding left and right-turn lanes to Southwest Loop 456 in front of Nichols Elementary School, as well as additional turn lanes between Farm-to-Market Road 347 and U.S. Highway 69 south.
