The Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce recently awarded five $1,000 scholarships to graduates in the city.
The recipients are Whitehouse High School graduates Taylor Culver, Morgan Downs, Alissa Knight, Jaylon Stewart and Chase Tucker. All five students are pursuing a college degree in business, according to information provided by a chamber board member.
The Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce annually awards scholarships to Whitehouse High School graduates who plan to study business in college.
The annual Reverse Raffle at KE Bushman’s Event Center in Bullard serves as the scholarship fundraiser.
Tickets sales start in mid January for the event, which is held on the first Saturday of March.
