The Texas Department of Public Safety workers will be in eight counties working on and repairing East Texas roadways this week.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress and flaggers will control traffic. Motorists should be prepared to reduce speed and watch out for workers.
On Tuesday, crews will do base and pavement repairs on West Loop 323 in Tyler between Front Street and West Erwin Street. Southbound traffic on Loop 323 will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are strongly encouraged to find alternate routes if possible to avoid lengthy delays.
On Thursday, crews will do the same work on Texas Highway 64 between West Loop 323 and Farm-to-Market Road 724 near Tyler Pounds Regional Airport.
Meanwhile, another crew will continue base and pavement repairs on East Loop 323 between the Loop 323 extension and Commerce Street.
TxDOT crews will do shoulder work in the recently resurfaced areas on Farm-to-Market Road 2087 between South Loop 281 in Longview and Interstate 20.
Crews will resume pavement-widening operations on Texas Highway 154 between Quitman and Lake Fork.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY
TxDOT crews will continue base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 1504 between U.S. Highway 80 in Edgewood and Texas Highway 64 in Myrtle Springs.
Crews will do shoulder and edge work on Texas Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and Texas Highway 110 in Ponta.
Crews will continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between Elkhart and the Houston County line.
A second crew will clean and repair ditches in various locations on Farm-to-Market Road 321 between Texas Highway 155 in Mound Prairie and Farm-to-Market Road 2574 in Neches.
Construction crews will continue widening drainage structures on Farm-to-Market Road 317 between Farm-to-Market Road 607 and Farm-to-Market Road 314. The work is the first phase of a project to add shoulders to Farm-to-Market Road 317 in this area.
TxDOT crews will continue base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 95 between Texas Highway 315 and U.S. Highway 84 east of Mount Enterprise.
