(MCT) -- City of Palestine will hold a meeting at 5:15 p.m. April 16 in city hall to provide information to those interested in applying for Hotel Occupancy Tax funding.

This is the first time the city has offered a policy for the disbursement of funds to organizations who request it for special events that will promote tourism to the Palestine area.

The Tax Code regulates use of HOT funds.

Tourism Advisory Board will review applications and make recommendations to City Council for approval.
