TISD: Workshop to highlight community engagement

The issue of community and student engagement is scheduled for discussion during Tyler ISD’s board workshop on Monday.

Kim Tunnell, TISD’s chief leadership and performance officer, is scheduled to discuss the topic with the board.

In addition, the board is scheduled to vote on the retirement of three district administrators.

They are: Gloria Bell, Head Start director; Darlene Marshall, executive director of elementary education — area 1; and Dr. Karen Raney, director of assessment and accountability. If approved, their retirements will be effective Aug. 29.

The workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Conference Room B of the district Administration Building, 1319 Earl Campbell Parkway, in Tyler.
