A suspect has been arrested in the robbery of the CPU store at 201 Rice Road about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Tyler Police Sgt. Luke Shafer said.

The suspect in the incident Thursday was identified as Bernard Mitchell.

Mitchell allegedly became upset with the service that was provided, walked around the store counter and assaulted the store manager, Shafer said.

The manager sustained minor injuries. After the assault, Mitchell stole two computer motherboards from the store while leaving, Shafer said.

Mitchell sustained a laceration to his head from the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Mitchell was arrested and booked into Smith County Jail on a charge of robbery.
