The deadline to buy early bird tickets for this year’s Leadercast is Monday.
Set for May 9, it is a one-day leadership event broadcast live to hundreds of locations across the world. The local event will be held at Green Acres Baptist Church Crosswalk Conference Center, 1607 Troup Highway.
The one-day event will be broadcast live from Atlanta. This year’s theme, “Beyond You,” challenges leaders to focus outward rather than inward.
“Leadercast is a top-quality learning opportunity and will benefit all who want to improve themselves and have a positive impact on others,” Carroll Rog￩, president of Leadership Tyler, said in a statement.
Speakers will include former first lady Laura Bush; Andy Stanley, author and communicator; Malcolm Gladwell, journalist and author; Archbishop Desmond Tutu, human rights activist; Randall Wallace, director, screenwriter, producer and songwriter; Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric; Laura Schroff, author and former Time executive; Dr. Henry Cloud, psychologist and leadership consultant; and Simon Sinek, author and leadership expert.
Hosts are Cat Deeley and Tripp Crosby.
“This is an excellent day of leadership training for your business,” Roge’ said. “This program hopes to change the way the world thinks about leadership. Companies can bring employees for a day of energizing leadership training without having to travel.”
Members of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Tyler can purchase early bird tickets for $70 by Monday or $75 after. Non-members can buy tickets for $75 by Monday and $80 later. And tickets for eight or more people can be bought early for $65 or for $70 after Monday.
The program will begin with registration at 7 a.m. with the first session starting at 8 a.m. The program will conclude by 3:30 p.m.
Last year, 600 people attended the event, and this year they can fit 800 people, he said. Tables can be reserved for a company for an extra fee. Snacks and lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A.
Door prizes will be given and booths will be setup with information from sponsor businesses. Books also will be available for purchase from the speakers, and each participant also will receive a workbook with information about each speaker’s topic.
Presenting sponsors include Brookshire Grocery Co., Core Insights, Express Employment Professionals, Tyler Morning Telegraph, KYTX CBS19 and KLTV.
For four years, Chick-fil-A was the title sponsor of the Leadercast but GiAnt Impact, the owner and producer of the event, announced that it is broadening its global reach this year. They are partnering with additional sponsors who can help grow the platform. Chick-fil-A continues to be a supporting partner but will no longer be the event’s title sponsor.
