An educator with more than 20 years experience, a strong work ethic and creativity in her field will be the new head of Lower School at All Saints Episcopal School, according to a message from Head of School Randal Brown.

Erin Leonard is scheduled to start in July and will come to Tyler from New York City where she is Grade 3 Level Coordinator and a third-grade teacher at The Hewitt School, a K-12 independent school for girls.

During her 10 years there, she served as a kindergarten teacher and third-grade teacher as well as a grade level coordinator for both grades, according to a copy of the message Brown sent to parents.

Prior to her time in New York, Ms. Leonard taught Lower School students at the American School of Milan in Italy.

A New Jersey native, she is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania and earned a master’s degree in elementary education from The College of William and Mary in Virginia.

This summer, she is slated to complete a master’s degree in school leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

She was the consensus choice to fill the position, according to Brown’s message.

A reception to introduce her to the All Saints community is expected to happen later this spring.
