Kilgore City Hall works to improve customer service

(MCT) -- Kilgore City Hall is open one longer each weekday and has added a new website live chat feature.

"We're always trying to look for ways to have better customer service," Kilgore Human Resources Director Michele Kincaid said.

City Hall is now opening a half-hour earlier, at 7:30 a.m., and closing a half-hour later, at 5:30 p.m.

When the Live Chat button is enabled at, clicking on the button will connect users with a city-employee staffing the system.

"No other (nearby) city has that," Kincaid said, "so we are by far a leader in customer service to our citizens."

When Live Chat is offline, users can leave an electronic message.
