Tyler Police officer Jason Seeton remains in East Texas Medical Center with a broken foot, rib and back injury, according to police spokesman Donald Martin.

"We would like to thank the community for their concerns and prayers for his welfare," Martin said.

Accident investigators did conclude that Donald Blevins, age 75, of Arp -- the driver of the pickup truck that struck Seeton Tuesday morning -- was at fault in the accident and was issued a citation for failure to control speed.

Yesterday at 8:26 a.m., officers responded to a call of an officer down involving motorcycle officer Seeton, who was struck from behind in the 2500 block of Callaway Road by a pick-up traveling westbound.

Seeton is a 21-year veteran with the department and has been a motorcycle officer for 15 years.
