The Brook Hill School in Bullard had its annual Invention Convention earlier this month.

Almost 30 third-graders presented display boards about an inventor, along with an original invention they created. They also had written a research report about their inventor and created a fact book about their invention. Awards went to the top three original inventions, which showed creativity, made life better and easier and were done by the student with minimal parental involvement.

American State Bank provided the monetary awards.
