A Tyler man who was shot in the head Friday was released from the hospital during the weekend.
Police were dispatched to an apartment complex at 710 S. Kennedy Ave. just before noon on Friday and found 19-year-old Gregory Rolling with a gunshot wound to his head. Police said the gunshot went into his forehead and left from the top portion of his head. The injury did not appear life-threatening, but he was taken to Mother Frances Hospital for treatment.
Rolling told officers that a Hispanic man about 6 feet tall and between 190 and 200 pounds shot him, but witnesses told detectives that several black males with guns were seen in Rolling’s home at the time of the shooting.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Tyler Police Department at 902-531-1000 or the Tyler/Smith County Crimestoppers at 903-597-2833.
