Lane closures to affect 7 counties this week for road work

The Texas Department of Transportation will be working on projects in seven counties this week.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge around the work zone.


Crews will conclude fog seal operations on Interstate 20, then move to perform the same operation in various locations on Farm-to-Market Road 773 between Interstate 20 and Texas 64, on Farm-to-Market Road 47 between Farm-to-Market Road 1651 and Texas Highway 198.

Crews will perform pavement coring work on Farm-to-Market Road 3080 southwest of Canton today.



Maintenance crews are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Northeast Loop 323 in Tyler, between the Loop 323 extension and Commerce Street.

A second crew is scheduled to continue edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 15 between Troup and the Rusk County line.

Elsewhere, TxDOT crews will continue edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 2015 between Farm-to-Market Road 14, near the Wood County line, and Farm-to-Market Road 16 east of Winona.



Maintenance crews will make base and pavement repairs on Texas 204 and Southeast Loop 456 near the intersection of both roads on the southeast side of Jacksonville.



Workers are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between Texas Highway 294 in Elkhart and the Houston County line.



Workers will perform resurfacing operations on Farm-to-Market Road 1643 east of Mineola.

A second crew will make edge repairs on FM Road 1795 east of Hawkins.



Workers will begin several weeks of base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 95 between Texas Highway 315 and U.S. Highway 84 east of Mount Enterprise.



Workers will perform edge work on Farm-to-Market Road 1803 between Texas Highway 31 east of Murchison and FM Road 317.
